Sheila Kandle, DVM
Practice Owner
Dr. Sheila Kandle is originally from New Jersey and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She started working in a clinic during high school and never stopped. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Delaware Valley College in small animal science and then continued her schooling at Auburn University. She earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree in 2015 and moved home to New Jersey to be closer to family. Dr. Kandle started working at Clayton Veterinary in 2016 and bought the practice when Dr. Morgan retired in November 2020. Dr. Kandle also attended Chi University to learn acupuncture and utilizes both traditional Chinese veterinary medicine (TCVM) and traditional medicine to provide a holistic and integrative approach to veterinary care.
Outside the office Dr. Kandle can almost always be found doing something with her dogs. She is an active member of a local agility club and has competed in agility at the AKC National Agility Championship and Westminster Kennel Club Master’s Agility Championship with her first agility dog Pennie. Pennie is settling into retirement and has passed the torch to Vixie and Ziva. Vixie is Dr. Kandle’s first conformation Champion and is Evangeline’s mother. Evangeline is already a Champion in the breed ring and will eventually also start an agility career. Vixie and Evangeline are currently employed as office support dogs.
